Fulbright

There are different opportunities to finance your research stay abroad during the doctorate.

The Franco-American Fulbright Commission, created in 1948 between the French and the United States governments, is an international academic and cultural exchange organization with more than 20,000 award-winning students and teacher-researchers.

Worldwide, 380,000 alumni have benefited from the Fulbright program, including 59 Nobel Prize winners.

In September 2018, the University of Bordeaux and the Franco-American Fulbright Commission signed an agreement establishing an annual exchange program to support doctoral students from the University of Bordeaux wishing to spend a research residency at an American university or research institute, and to host American doctoral students at the University of Bordeaux.
