Enrolling in the first year of a doctorate

Doctoral enrollment is done in two steps: the pedagogical enrollment at the doctoral school and then the administrative enrollment at the admissions office.

Informations about enrollments

Registration fees for the year 2022-2023 : 380 €
Student life fees paid to the CROUS (CVEC) : this contribution of 95€ is mandatory for your university enrollment. Download the 2018 and 2019 reports on actions funded at the UBx by the CVEC.
The Social Security : French PhD students: If you have a work contract, you must register to the CPAM (Caisse Primaire d’Assurance Maladie). For more information depending on you status, please consult the national website. International PhD students: Contact our Welcome Office for International Researchers through the following accueil.chercheurs@u-bordeaux.fr.
Civil liability : It is strongly recommended that you take out additional personal insurance that also includes liability coverage for damage you may cause to others. It is up to you to purchase one from an insurance company of your choice.

How?

You must ensure that you meet all the pre-requisites the prerequisites before following the steps below:

Step 1 :To create your personal Adum space

The new secure information system called Adum is exclusively dedicated to doctoral students. Your account will be activated and filled in at the same time as your application for enrollment in the first year.

Please note : All sections must be completed to access the finalization of the procedure.

An authorization email will be sent to you by the doctoral school to finalize your enrollment.

Step 2 :Pedagogical enrollment at the doctoral shool

It is your responsibility to submit the entire pedagogical file with the required documents according to the procedures of your doctoral school (either on Adum or directly at the doctoral school)

The Doctoral Charter and the Individual Training Agreement must be signed by the director of the research unit and by the thesis supervisor before being sent to the doctoral school.

After authorization from the doctoral school, you must collect the complete signed file to finalize your enrollment.

Step 3 : CVEC (Contribution Vie Etudiante et de Campus)

The payment of this contribution is a compulsory formality. The amount is set at 95€ this year.

You must go to https://cvec.etudiant.gouv.fr to make the payment and obtain a certificate. The number of this certificate will be required for further enrollment.

If you are French Government scholar (BGF) you will be exempt from the CVEC. However, you must provide a certificate of exemption. More information on: http://cvec-info.nuonet.fr/la-cvec.html

Warning : if you are in a cotutelle program and the contract is signed and stipulates that the registration fees will be paid at the partner university for the current academic year, you do not have to pay the CVEC. Please contact the admissions office to proceed to your enrollment : inscriptiondoctorat@u-bordeaux.fr

Step 4 : finalizing your enrollment

You must finalize the procedure by following the steps below:

1. You must verify the data entered and pay the registration fees (380€) via the following link:https://apogee.u-bordeaux.fr/inscription/ident1.jsf

The payment in 3 times is possible until October 18, 2022. It must be done at the end of the data verification.

If you have already been enrolled at the University of Bordeaux, you must use your student number as your application number and the following link: https://apogee.u-bordeaux.fr/AuthEtudiantUb/index_nocas.php?app=iareins

2. You must submit the requested supporting documents online:https://apogee.u-bordeaux.fr/pjweb/page/login.jsf

Once these steps have been completed and verified by the Admissions Office, you will receive an email confirming your enrollment.

School certificate and student card:

If you are a new student at the University of Bordeaux, your European student card (https://www.etudiant.gouv.fr/fr/c-est-quoi-la-carte-europeenne-etudiante-1009) must be collected at your doctoral school.

Reissue of the student card:

In case of loss of your student card, please follow the payment procedurebefore coming to the Admissions Office.
In case of theft, please present the associated complaint.
